

Textures have been upscaled for 4K presentation using smart AI, using the original uncompressed textures as the starting point.On many assets, details that were previously textures are now models.HDR (High Dynamic Range) is now supported.PC players can enjoy native controller support, 21:9 widescreen, UI navigation improvements, and compatibility with DirectX 11.The graph below details the specific targets the game will aim for depending on the console platform and graphical mode.The overall UI font size has been decreased to look better on 1080 and 4K displays.Legendary Edition also allows you to select modes to favour the resolution quality or the frame rate. 4K resolutions and higher frame rates are now possible, allowing consoles to play the game at 60fps for the first time.These markers are stored in your save file and are remembered for the entirety of that playthrough, making it easier to tell if you've mined a planet before or not. This makes it easier to scan for Resources since you now know where you've already been. After launching a mining Probe, a marker is placed at that spot on the planet.The Advanced Mineral Scanner still makes it faster, but the increase is less profound as a result. The speed of the cursor while Scanning has been dramatically increased.The Kasumi: Stolen Memory formal wear can still be unlocked, giving Shepard two options for formal wear.The higher-quality Spacer outfits from Mass Effect 3 now replace their Mass Effect 2 versions.

The N7 Leather and N7 Hoodie casual outfits from Mass Effect 3 are now available in Mass Effect 2.The Pause Menu options have been reshuffled so that their placement is consistent across all three games.This means that key moments that were notoriously difficult to achieve (which could potentially impact the third game) can now be pulled off more reliably. Improvements and bug fixes have been made to the Morality system, including accurate representation of your Paragon and Renegade ratios in the Squad Menu's Morality Bars.The UI navigation experience has been improved.Due to the removal of the Cerberus Network, it's impossible to view Cerberus Daily News, which provided canon news snippets that expanded on the world of Mass Effect, and even reflected the lead-up to Mass Effect 3.This means that Arrival's prelude scene with Admiral Hackett still occurs automatically when using the Private Terminal after Horizon. Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival unlock after completing Horizon.Kasumi, Zaeed, Overlord, Normandy Crash Site and Firewalker are available after acquiring the Normandy SR-2.The major DLC packs (Kasumi, Zaeed, Overlord, Normandy Crash Site, Firewalker, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival) remain as they were in the original release.The exception is the Arc Projector Heavy Weapon and the Recon Hood, which are available once you acquire the Normandy SR-2.


As confirmed by Mac Walters on Twitter, a Photo Mode has been added, allowing you to pause the game, move the camera and apply various filters and effects to take screenshots.Loading times have been significantly reduced, especially on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.The shade of red for the 2 square in Mass Effect 2's logo now matches the one in Mass Effect 3's logo.This includes each game's title screen, as well as the opening cutscenes and the Genesis comics. In all areas, the logos have been updated to the "Andromeda" style, with flat white letters, no outline, and the modern font for "Effect".You can return to this launcher from each game's main menu.
